Your Invitation to History at Rules!

In today’s fast-moving digital world, proactive threat intelligence is critical to staying ahead of evolving cyber risks. As adversaries adopt increasingly sophisticated tactics, security leaders must move beyond reactive measures to anticipate and mitigate threats before they strike. The question is: how can we effectively harness accurate, timely, and actionable threat intelligence to defend our organisations?

Join us for an exclusive CISO 360 Dinner Roundtable, where cybersecurity leaders will gather for an evening of insightful discussion and peer exchange. Hosted by Pulse and kindly sponsored by Reliance Cyber, this interactive session will provide practical insights into the power of threat intelligence in driving proactive defence strategies.

Key Discussion Topics:

  • The Value of Threat Intelligence: What insights truly drive proactive defence?
  • Infrastructure Challenges: How are we managing risk across complex digital ecosystems?
  • Lessons from the Field: Success stories of threat intelligence preventing attacks.
  • Best Practices: How to embed threat intelligence seamlessly into your strategy.

This roundtable offers a rare opportunity to engage with fellow CISOs, share experiences, and walk away with practical strategies for strengthening your organisation’s defences. Don’t miss the chance to be part of this dynamic, solution-focused conversation.

We are thrilled to have secured Rules. More than just a restaurant, Rules is a living relic of London’s past. Situated on Maiden Lane, an ancient path that connected the convent garden of Westminster Abbey to St. Martin’s Lane, the restaurant has been a witness to London’s ever-changing history. From J.M.W. Turner’s birthplace to tales of Andrew Marvell, Maiden Lane’s historical significance is woven into Rules’ narrative.

Yours sincerely,

Your Invitation to History!

We invite you to experience Rules, where tradition meets contemporary dining. Join us in celebrating history, elegance, and exceptional British cuisine. Every journey with us is a journey through time, and every meal is an ode to the enduring spirit of this incredible establishment. Throughout history, Rules has seen the reigns of nine monarchs, but changed hands only three times, with its legacy carefully preserved. In 1798, Thomas Rule, the founder of Rules, began his journey into the world of oysters at Maiden Lane. During these times, only one person per building was a ratepayer, and the bustling Census of 1841 revealed that as many as three separate households, totalling 30 individuals, were part of the Maiden Lane community.

Just before World War I, Charles Rule, a descendant of the founder, considered a move to Paris, and by sheer coincidence, crossed paths with Tom Bell, owner of the Parisian restaurant, Alhambra, leading to an unexpected yet transformative business exchange. During World War II, Rules remained open offering essential rationed meals at five shillings while still indulging patrons with the likes of rabbits, grouse, and pheasants. In 1984, the daughter of Tom Bell sold Rules to John Mayhew, who shouldered the role of stewardship. Today, Rules is owned by Ricky McMenemy who has worked at the restaurant for 35 years. It accommodates around 90 guests and employs a dedicated staff of 90, ensuring its storied legacy continues.

The Graham Greene Room is one of the private dining rooms at Rules, an iconic and historic restaurant located in Covent Garden, London. Established in 1798, Rules is London’s oldest restaurant, renowned for its classic British cuisine, particularly its focus on game and traditional dishes. The Graham Greene Room is named after the famous British writer Graham Greene, who was a regular patron of the restaurant, adding an element of literary history to the dining experience.
